Titles. Where do they come from?
Titles can make a reader want to know more and read the blurb, click on it, pick it up, you get the idea. Sometimes I have a great title in mind and don’t even know the story but the title intrigues me so Iknow it will intrigue others. We all live and have lived for quite some time on this earth and so when we have an impression of something usually we are right about it.
When we don’t have a title but we have a great story to write…do you wait for the title to pop up as you write the story? Sometimes I do. But other times I keep aiming for that title idea. I also usually design a cover or seek out relatable covers. If you don’t know I usually create my own covers but when i can’t find anything from a free stock website or just can’t make something mesh, then Iturn to premades or a designer and you can check my post on where and how I get my covers here.
If a title is evasive or you want a story idea to stem from a title then you can check out a generator.
https://booktitlegenerator.com is a great generator to begin your story idea. I’ve used it on a few occasions and even sometimes using it to cross-match titles and create my own.
Writer, self-publisher, and author…and more! I enjoy horror, adventure, and science fiction and find myself drawn to write about other worlds and the impossible.
